Instagram has confirmed on their blog that they have garnered 150 million monthly active users.
The growth of its user-base is regarded pretty fast, as in February they announced 100 million monthly active users, which 50 million new members in the past 6 months.
What is also interesting is that of this 150 million users, 60% + now reside outside of the US.
Instagram has been released a bunch of new features for users, with the most prominent feature is Instagram for Video in June.
Facebook and Instagram are both enthusiastic to make money from the platform, and several Facebook resources have been assigned to make this happen. However, Facebook will not take this into action too quickly, as the most important thing is protecting their user-base and encouraging more sharing, engagement and growth.
