Facebook knows everything about you. Soon, it will also know where you went.

The company announced on Tuesday that its Local Awareness ad program is now available for certain advertisers. Designated for local businesses, the ad product can be created by entering the business’s address, and describing a radius around the area they’d like to reach. According to Facebook, the targeting area is based on people who live in the area (or were recently) near the business.

As with other Facebook products, users can choose to opt out of tracking if they want.

The targets can be further specified to take into account age and gender. You can also include call-to-action buttons, including “Get Directions,” which will send potential customers to the business’ doorstep.

After creating an ad, Page owners can enter more details, including their business’s address and target location. Facebook will use that information to create an audience comprised of people who live in that area, or were recently near the business.

Facebook said the ad program will be available worldwide over the next few weeks.
