The latest Google Zeitgeist for 2013 has been released. It summarised the most popular searches for this year in a nice short video. What were people around the world searching in 2013? Amit Singhal, senior vice president and software engineer at Google Inc. said, “We want to find out more about our heroes, explore far-away destinations or settle a dinner-table dispute between friends.”
The British royal family appears first on the video with the birth of the royal baby, Prince George. This year’s round-up also remembers those that people around the world said goodbye to many iconic figures like Margaret Thatcher, Paul Walker and Nelson Mandela.
