It looks like Facebook is going to follow Snapchat’s brilliant move on providing the photo-doodling feature for their users.
Hand drawn photos in Snapchat has become a undercurrent trend, with some users are able to construct amazingly intricate overlays on their pictures.
The ability to hand draw additions onto your photos has been a popular option for ages, yet Snapchat has reinvented the wheel and made it hit once again. In fact, Facebook has taken notice and introduced a pretty much similar feature for your Facebook photos.
Called “Doodle”, the new feature is being rolled out to iOS and Android users right now – so you may already have access. To use it, all you do is select a photo you want to upload to Facebook, then click on ‘Edit’ (as per the first image in the above set). Once selected, you’ll see the new ‘Doodle’ option at the bottom right of screen. Once the photo selected, you can pick a color and start drawing – you can switch colors by using the color bar down the right-hand side of the screen, and you can adjust the size of your brush by holding your finger on a color and sliding to the left.
At glance, this is just a small, simple addition that will be popular among several user groups. It’s fun and it gives you a new way to add creative elements to your photos. Thus, brace yourself to see an influx of crudely drawn shapes and speech bubbles flowing through your Facebook feed anytime soon.
