Here is how colouring books work in the future.
Disney Research Labs has been working on some awesome tech that might well create the future of colouring in books. In the video below, you can see how live texturing of 3D Augmented Reality Characters becomes a possibility as kids around the world colour in on paper.
With this invention, Disney have developed a “deformable” surface tracking method that uses a new outlier rejection algorithm for real-time tracking and surface modelling. Which in turn, creates what you see above. You can expect to see an entirely new Disney Augmented Reality App soon.
