Facebook has made an update to their resource centre, stating they have redesigned the Facebook “F” Logo.
The old “F’ Logo:
You can see the lighter blue colour at the bottom of the logo and shorter ‘F’ symbol.
The new Logo is as follows:
The new logo has the light blue shade at the bottom of the icon removed, and the ‘F’ symbol also extending all the way to the bottom edge.
The new logo looks more sharp and minimal. There has been a rise in popularity lately for flat design such as this. This new icon kind of looks like Metro style apps for Windows.
Since the F logo is in so many places across the Facebook site, and on plugins and Like buttons – Facebook hasn’t updated to the new logo in every place just yet – it’s obviously a rather big task which they will no doubt get onto soon.
