Google and Long Tail Keywords

For those who don’t know, long-tail searches are highly specific searches that lead to a smaller number of results. For example, a general and broad search word like ‘ video games’ leads to 3,920,000,000 results, while ‘racing video games’ leads to 497,000,000 and ‘CTR free racing video games’ leads to 376,000. So ‘video games’ is a general term, while ‘CTR free racing video games’ is a long-tail, specific term. Long-tail terms are generally less competitive, but they attract less traffic; generic terms are more competitive and attract more traffic. However, it looks like Google has compound the long-tail strategy with its features:
