One of the visual social media giant, Instagram, has updated their app where now users can post landscape or portrait photos, instead the regular square photos.
Previously, users could post these photos, but would have to use a white padding around the photo for the square format. Instagram now want to officially support landscape and portrait photos. Here is how the new formats look:
It will be interesting to see how this new format looks. For large phones like the iPhone 6 Plus and Android devices which take large photos – this new layout does look really good. However, will users want to abandon the square photos they are used to? Let’s see in a few weeks whether this ‘little improvement’ will take Instagram closer to its customers’ heart or not.
