New research to assist tourism businesses

New research from Tourism Research Australia has been released, providing information on internet use in trip planning and booking. The research looks at how international and domestic visitors use the internet as an information source for travel and as a tool for booking travel prior to their trip. It also offers insights into the demographics of these visitors. Advertisement: Story continues below Key findings show that: the use of the internet in pre-trip planning and booking is increasing while internet presence is high for Australian tourism operators, booking and payment capabilities remain low there are opportunities for tourism operators to expand their online presence.
