The Social Swipe: An Interactive Donation Billboard

Creativity has no limit. Sometimes, creativity is not about creating something new. You can just tweak an old idea to create something fresh and appealing.

Meet The Social Swipe, a “new” way to donate from a relief non-profit organisation, Misereor. Basically, the social swipe is an interactive billboard for collecting donations from passers-by. It consists of a dual screen billboard, where a credit card swipe reader is placed in between. When someone swipe their credit card into the billboard, the video was played on the screens, showing that you have given “a slice of bread” or “freedom”, depending on what type of donation you’ve made.

Everybody agree that donation box is a little bit outdated and The Social Swipe is the perfect example on how creativity can shifted a simple idea into a marvelous one. This is definitely a nice way to get people to donate $2 to help people in need.
