Facebook officials in Australia has released some interesting stats recently, as we see the company globally share more insights about particular regions and demographic stats.
Here are the Australian user metrics:
- 12 million MAU = Total monthly active users (desktop and mobile)
- 9 million DAU = Total daily active users (desktop and mobile)
- 9.8 million M/MAU = Mobile monthly active users (mobile only)
- 7.3 million M/DAU = Mobile daily active users (mobile)
This is the most interesting stat: about 9 million Australians logging on every day, or roughly about 39% of the total Australian population (ABS pop clock). This is very fascinating indeed as no other social networks get this sort of user attention and highly visitor frequency – so it is certainly in Facebook’s interest to keep sprouting these kind of stats.
