Facebook has announced that they will allow users to embed status updates on external websites to Facebook. Similar to Twitter, this feature will allow Facebook content to spread even further across the web, in addition to the Facebook Like Button and their other social plugins.
This feature is not publicly available just yet – only some publications have access to this new feature with the public launching in weeks to come. This is an example of how the Facebook embedded posts will look from this British Monarchy photo:
As you can see, users will be able to Like the update, Comment, Share and also like the page itself from these embedded posts. You will only be able to embed posts that are public status updates.
