Soon, the days of popular social pinboard Pinterest might be over as Google starts to develop a new function similar to it.
The internet service corporate introduced a new feature on its search engine that provides users with a way to save images they find to collections which they can access at a future time. While Google can beat Pinterest in the image (and inspiration) collection business is anyone’s guess (thanks to its relatively new focus on “collections” and updates Google+ platform), it certainly presents somewhat of a threat. Will Pinterest survive Google’s move?
Currently, the feature is only available to mobile users in the U.S. across all major browsers on iOS and Android.
