LinkedIn Has Reached 4 Million Users in Australia

|

LinkedIn has reached 4 million users in Australia only. It was only in March 2012 that LinkedIn reached 3 million members. In other words, over the last 12 months it has added 1 million Australian’s (about 83,000 new registers per month  or 2,700 in a day).

This is surely a good news for LinkedIn in Australia. However, it is important to note that not all 4 million of these members are active monthly users.

It was estimated that somewhere between 2 – 2.5 million Australian users are active every month on LinkedIn. This is pretty fair as people don’t have to be a monthly active user to get benefit from LinkedIn’s service.

Last week in a press statement, LinkedIn Australia went on to say that 80% of Australia’s five million professionals are now on LinkedIn. This is not exactly accurate, as there are many users in ‘non-professional’ industries signed up to the site. So we can say that it’s quite inaccurate to say that Australia’s 5 million white collar professionals that 80% use the site.

However, this is a good news for business owners as they can expand their network. This numbers also means that Australian executives are receptive to LinkedIn’s presence. You can being successful on LinkedIn both from people sharing your content or generating business leads.
