Social media advertising is still big business. The total social ad revenue is expected to increase by 194 percent to reach $15 billion by 2018, and more than half of that amount will be on mobile.

US will become the prominent figure that account for 40 percent of social ad spend through 2016, while Facebook remains the preferred platform by more than nine in ten marketers, with Twitter in use by about one in four.
